The book, What Mommy Doesn't See, can now be ordered online through Etsy or Faire. This is a full color, 32 page, hard cover, picture book with decorated end pages and a double sided book jacket. My mother wrote the poem for me when I was little, and I finally illustrated it. This was a heart project for us. I hope you will be able to see the time and care we put into it.
Readers View Kids said, “What Mommy Doesn’t See” by Kary Ledbetter is not just a fun story to pass the time but a beautiful opportunity for moms to engage with their little ones through literature, immersing them into a sparkling world that celebrates the bond between a mother and a child. It is a read-out-loud gem with lucid prose ideal for Mother’s Day or any other day  that you endeavor to build a deeper connection with your child through reading."

The Artist’s Eye Kassy, your technique is breathtaking. I found myself obsessing over the crosshatching and those delicate, rhythmic patterns that give every page a tactile, vintage feel. It’s not just "art"; it’s world-building with a pen. But the real magic happened when I sat down with my three children. We spent so much time huddled together, our fingers tracing the pages to find the miniature hidden creatures tucked away in the scenery. It turned storytime into a joyous game of "I Spy" that kept us all enchanted.

The Mother’s Heart Mama Karen, your words are like a gentle exhale. To take a lament and weave it into a poem that feels this light and "fairy-like" is a true gift. You’ve captured that bittersweet space where a parent’s reality meets a child’s limitless imagination. It’s a lullaby for the soul.

To the Creators: Thank you for this signed treasure. It’s not just sitting on our shelf; it’s being lived in by me and my kids. You have created a bridge between the seen and the unseen, and we are so grateful to have crossed it with you.

If you are looking for a book that balances sophisticated art with the pure, "hidden" fun of childhood, What Mommy Doesn’t See is a masterpiece.

    What Mommy DOesn't See

What Mommy Doesn’t See is a story about a parents' love for her child, but the adventure is told through the pictures and her child’s experiences. While Mommy has only retained one small piece of magic, her child sees all the enchanting creatures that seem to be hidden. This, day in the life of a child, book starts out with a red wagon and the promise of a picnic when Mommy discovers that the unicorns are gone. It’s time to show her where everyone is hiding. A picnic in fantasy and a heartwarming tale of love with hidden creatures on every page.
